Foreign Minister at Arab Japanese ministerial meeting

Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, took part today in a ministerial meeting of the Arab-Japanese Political Dialogue, at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.

Yoshimasa Hayashi, Japan's Foreign Minister was among those taking  part in this third session of the dialogue, alongside distinguished representatives of Arab countries.

The meeting reviewed the strategic partnership between the Arab countries and Japan, based on comprehensive cooperation and mutual development and discussed ways of enhancing that cooperation. There was also an exchange of views on regional and international issues of common concern.

After the meeting Sayyid Badr said it had produced a fruitful dialogue around the mutual desire to develop cooperation especially in the economic, commercial and scientific fields.  He added that the meeting discussed many political issues of mutual interest, most notably the importance of strengthening the Arab-Japanese action to establish the foundations of regional and global security and stability.
