Oman rejects Israeli statements on displacing Gaza residents

4 January 2024

Oman has categorically rejected statements made by officials in the Israeli government regarding the displacement of the Palestinian population from the Gaza Strip.

In an official statement, the Foreign Ministry has affirmed the Sultanate's position that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territories as stipulated in UN resolutions.

These resolutions require Israel to withdraw from all the lands it occupied and a return to the 1967 borders to ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
