Oman and India sign taxation protocol
The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India signed in Muscat a protocol of amendment to their existing Agreement on Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Tax Evasion with respect to Income Taxes between the Governments of the two countries.
The protocol was signed on behalf of the Sultanate by Nasser Khamis Al Jashmi, Chairman of Oman's Tax Authority, and on behalf of India by Amit Narang, India's Ambassador to Oman.
The Tax Authority Chairman highlighted the protocol's importance in strengthening economic ties between Oman and India, noting that it reflects both countries' efforts to enhance cooperation in the tax sector.
