Foreign Minister meets President of International Peace Institute

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, met yesterday (September 18th) with Prince Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, President of the International Peace Institute, on the sidelines of the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The meeting discussed a number of global issues, including the challenges of climate change and efforts to highlight the strategic importance of achieving a lasting peace in the Middle East and restoring the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Dr Mohamed bin Awad Alhassan, Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations in New York.
